Reporting to the Supervisor Trade Training, you will responsible to train & assess apprentices and TCI personnel in all aspects of electrical in order to achieve maximum productivity with a high focus on safety and to ensure that TCI training requirements for tradesman personnel are being conducted in accordance with TMS; Coach apprentices in the use of learning resources especially for practical session; Conduct tradesman assessment activities in accordance with TCI TMS and relevant Australian competency standards.
To be successful in this role you will requires recognized Trade and / or mechanical/electrical engineering Qualifications or ex Thiess Apprentices with Minimum of 4 years experience within the mining industry as Heavy Equipment Electrical or Heavy Equipment Trainer; Certificate IV in Workplace Training; Experienced in Heavy earth moving equipment technical codes including truck and/or excavator/dozer/grader/wheel loader; ability to work effectively with others and related to colleagues and ability to cope with additional responsibilities; computer literacy and excellent English communication skill -written and verbal.

Senior Supervisor Mining Operations TrainingJob No.: 743484

Reporting to the Superintendent Operations Support Training, you will lead a team of trainers who train and assess TCI mining operations personnel in all aspects of mining operations in order to achieve maximum productivity with a high focus on safety; include delivery of mining operations operator and supervisor training and assessment; delivery of skill development program for mining Leading Hand and Supervisors; coordinate the delivery of mining operations training on a site while supervising trainers or and training simulator crew; Implement Back to Basics coaching program for mining LH/supervisors; coordinate and conduct Defensive Driving Training for all sites and BSF & JHO; conduct audit of operator qualifications and submit monthly report of results of audit; Provide mentoring/coaching for mining operations workplace trainers and mining supervisors during conduct PIT (Performance Improvement Crews) crew to improve site production; actively participate in community development program on site in relation with mining operations training.
To be successful in this role you will requires minimum Diploma or Bachelor Degree with 3 year experiences within the mining industry as Supervisor Mining and 10 year experiences as Operator; experienced in training & development; skill and knowledge in Heavy earth moving equipment operator codes including truck and/or excavator/dozer/grader/wheel loader; Highway truck codes; Certificate IV in Workplace Training; POP (Pratama) certificate. Superior communication skills-written & verbal, present arguments, facts and instructions in a clear, fluent and convincing manner; able to Influence/motivate; Coaching/mentoring skill; ability to work effectively with others and related to colleagues and ability to cope with additional responsibilities; computer literacy and good english communication skill -written and verbal.
